‘Desi Girl’ Competition, Highlight of KSC Bahrain’s Annual Day

Bahrain: The annual day of Karnataka Social Club (KSC) here, which was held through a function organized on Thursday November 19, at the Delmon Hotel, Poolside here, happened to be sober function held in family atmosphere.  It was well-attended.

The Club was founded in the year 1956 with an enthusiastic group of Mangaloreans.
 
To top it all, ‘Desi Girl’, a competition of traditional costumes, was held, in which approximately 20 contestants donning the local attires of Kodagu, Gujarat, Kashmir, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab and the colourful saris, took part. The winner was Gracy Pais, closely followed by Rochelle Dante in the second spot.
 
The members danced to the music till the wee hours the next day. The children of the Club members gave the glimpse of their tremendous talents, by presenting some exquisite dances to the tune of the dancing numbers.
