New KSRTC bus service from Madikeri to Kozhikode

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is introducing a new Karnataka Sarige schedule from Madikeri to Kozhikode in Kerala on Tuesday, for the benefit of the commuters, a statement received here on Monday said.

The bus would leave Madikeri at 1 p.m. and take the Sunticoppa route (1.45 p.m.) and pass through Chettalli, Nellihudikeri and reach Siddapur at 3.05 p.m. From there, it would proceed to Gonicoppa (4.25 p.m.) and take the Ponnampet, Srimangala route to reach Kutta at 5.50 p.m. proceeding to Tolpatti, Katikulam, Manandavady (7.15 p.m.) Kalpetta, Tamaracherri, Koduvalli and reach Calicut at 10.15 p.m., Vivek Poovaiah, who heads the Movement for the Welfare of Community and Environment (MOWCE), a non-government organisation, working in close contact with the KSRTC, said in the statement.

On the return journey, the bus would leave Kozhikode at 10 a.m. and pass via Tamaracherri, Kalpetta, Manandavady (1.45 p.m.), Katikulam, Tolpatti, Kutta (3.15 p.m.), Srimangala, Gonicoppa (4.45 p.m.), Polibetta, Hundi, Siddapur (5.55 p.m.), Chettalli, Sunticoppa (7.10 p.m.) and reach Madikeri at 7.30 p.m.

Mr. Poovaiah said the new service would benefit people travelling to and fro on business and also Sabarimala pilgrims (up to Calicut).
